Best Streaming Settings for Facebook Live

Facebook’s live video format recommendations are:

1. Max resolution is 1080p (1920 x 1080) at 60 frames per second (fps)
2. Bitrate between 3,000 and 6,000 Kbps (3-6 Mbps)
3. Titles with fewer than 255 characters
4. Keyframe should be sent every 2 seconds and not exceed 4 seconds
5. Only H.264 encoded video and AAC-encoded audio
6. 8-hour time limit on live streams

When compared to YouTube or Twitch, Facebook has lower-quality streaming. The maximum video resolution accepted by Facebook is 1080p, while on YouTube you can have resolutions as high as 4K / 2160p.
