This page lists common issues that may occur in the Live Now mobile app
and the likely causes or conditions for each issue.
Use this reference to explain why a feature may not work as expected.
Instant Replay or VAR Check does not work
- Save Video is not enabled in Settings before streaming.
- Instant Replay was not enabled before the stream.
- The VAR Check overlay was not created or activated.
- Replay features require recorded video to function.
Scoreboard or team-based overlays do not update
- Teams are not correctly selected in Team Manage.
- The overlay is not active on the live screen.
- Only overlays synchronized with Team Manage update automatically.
Cannot select players for match events
- Players are not added to the team in Team Manage.
- Only players in the team list can be selected for events.
Stream is lagging, buffering, or unstable
- Network connection is weak, fluctuating, or insufficient.
- Bitrate is set too high for the available bandwidth.
- Adaptive Bitrate is disabled.
- Heavy overlays or effects consume processing resources.
- Recommended stable settings:
- 1080p30 at ~4000 kbps for average networks
- 720p30 at ~3000 kbps for weak networks
Recorded video is not saved
- Save Video was not enabled before streaming.
- Insufficient storage space on the device.
Cannot stream to a platform
- User is not logged in to the selected platform.
- Facebook: Permissions or page privacy was not granted.
- YouTube: Invalid title/description format or no live event exists.
Short titles/descriptions without emojis often fix “Invalid Parameter” errors. - RTMP: Stream URL or stream key is incorrect.
App permission issues
- Camera, microphone, or network permissions are denied at the system level.
- Streaming requires explicit permission to access camera and mic on iOS.
Premium subscription not showing
- The premium purchase is not synced with the device’s app store account.
- Restoring purchases in Settings often resolves this.
- Subscriptions are tied to a specific store account and do not transfer across platforms.
External camera support issues
- External camera connection is supported only on compatible iPad USB-C models.
- External cameras are not supported on iPhones at this time.
Overlays disappear after app reinstall
- Overlays are stored locally; deleting the app removes them.
- Use the Backup & Restore feature to save overlays before uninstalling.
Changing team names on scoreboard while live
- Team names can be changed during a live stream by editing the scoreboard overlay directly.
- Alternatively, update team names via Team Manage.
Result
Most common issues are caused by missing prerequisites, incorrect settings,
or mode-specific requirements. Resolving these conditions usually restores
the expected behavior of the feature.
